In my lessons we will cover the main content, finding any gaps in your knowledge so that we can focus on such work. After discussing such gaps, we will first complete together a set of questions and when you feel comfortable enough to tackle them yourself, independently attempt them. If it’s a significantly tricky subject, we will take time to apply ways of remembering certain points that I have always found beneficial.
The problem I have learning something new, especially with maths or physics, is that it can get brushed over and before you know it, you’re covering something else. To avoid this, we will take our time solidifying the core knowledge through discussing any misconceptions or misunderstandings you’re feeling. As mentioned, I have a plethora of tips and tricks for remembering certain definitions or equations that you can also use.
Depending on the level of work, we will either use textbook or exam questions to study. In my experience, exam questions and studying the patterns associated with them, is a sure fire way of succeeding. Attempting these questions at exam level will develop your knowledge in the areas you struggle, but also help you understand the question layout - the most important aspect of any exam.
I am extremely motivated for you to do well in your work, as it is such an exciting point in your life but also extremely stressful. I understand the overload that you can be experiencing having to complete so many subjects, so I will do my best for you to gain a deep comprehension in maths or physics but also try and help gain confidence in the subject.
