My first lesson will be me introducing myself to the child, telling them where I am from and who I am. I will tell them of my experiences in Germany.

My first lesson will be me introducing myself to the child, telling them where I am from and who I am. I will tell them of my experiences in Germany.
I will ask the child to do the same.
Following on from this (in the first lesson), I will teach the child basic phrases, and how to introduce themselves to their friends, how to say how old they are, and very simple basic phrases, nothing aggressive.
The session will last 30 minutes, until we meet the following week for the next session. I will ask the child to memorise the phrases they have learnt and to recite them to me in the following week.
The next lesson will teach them the alphabet and how to pronounce the Umlauts (which are words with accents over them, requiring them to be spoken a little differently). I will teach them how to pronounce each letter of the alphabet. Then they will learn this in their own time and recite to me the alphabet the following week.
In the third week, I will teach the child how to say the names of animals, vegetables and fruits. They will have a pen and paper with them so that they are writing down how to spell each word. In this lesson, I will also introduce to them articles in the German language, nothing aggressive. After the lesson and up until our fourth week together, they will memorise the names of the animals, fruits and vegetables for me.
In our fourth week together, which is our final week, we will go over everything we have learned together and they will show me how much hard work they have put in to learning what I have taught them. At the end of the lesson, we will have some fun and make a song out of all the words we found out about together.
