I have experience tutoring for over two years a variety of subjects. Most specifically maths, where I have tutored A-Level, GCSE, and KS3 maths. I have tutored a wide variety of abilities and in a variety of formats. This has ranged from 1-to-1 sessions, group sessions, or even teaching classroom maths lessons in secondary schools.

I know some people think that they just 'don't get' maths like some people can. But I know that is exactly not true as I was the same. After having progressed from an E to an A in under three months during A-Level mathematics, I truly know that anyone can flourish in maths. My framework for tutoring is mainly based on one thing, which is practise! I make sure that concepts/problems are broken down and explained clearly. For example, I will adapt my explanations to best befit the student, as we all understand maths in completely different ways. However, once we have passed the initial step of explaining concepts, I place a large emphasis on practising questions. I know that only so much information can be digested by listening to someone else explain, and therefore I like to have students practise during sessions and that way once any problems arise we can tackle them together. I also understand that confidence plays a huge role within maths and in many cases students know more than they realise, and once they start to trust and have faith in their own abilities, the maths becomes a lot less daunting. This is why I also create safe and encouraging environments, where no question is too 'silly'.
