I'm able to teach in a range of styles. I have worked with children who are far behind where they are 'expected' to be, children who are exceeding expectations and children with SEND and I change my style depending on each child's needs. With a range of games, interactive activities and independent work, I am able to tailor the session to the needs of a pupil. I like to make lessons memorable and fun and tailor the session to the child's needs and interests. I use PowerPoint, videos and games to make each session different and follow the national curriculum. With online sessions, I like to enable the child to take control of my screen, so their focus is held, and they can interact more with what is going on.
I have been a private tutor since 2019 and have over 1.5 years of experience teaching in primary schools. I am currently a university student studying politics and international relations. In September 2024 I plan to start my teacher training to become a qualified primary school teacher. I have a great network of teachers and often bounce ideas off of other academics. My passion is teaching, and I have been told by many that my passion shines through in my teaching. No challenge is too hard or too easy. I love to take on challenges and am never satisfied till I see the child making improvements. I like to celebrate the smallest of achievements to keep the love of learning in check as I feel it is essential for a child to love learning to enable them to shine.
