I can tailor various topics throughout history to cater for each student; in some cases PowerPoint presentations, or physical and visual learning through creating timelines or scene by scene depictions of said topics. My personal experience with learning and analytical antiquity has been fulfilled through visual learning, using bold colours and/or pictures to represent certain themes or individuals, and active learning in illustrating battles and pinning dates onto a larger physical timeline. Just remembering historical events can be daunting in itself, to further analyse their significance or to come to a conclusion is often much harder for the average person. I overcame this and plan to help others overcome this by having and learning a greater understanding of social sciences - I would argue that one of the most important aspects of history that is often forgotten is that historical figures are remembered as figures, rather than people. A comprehension of history as a consistently changing world full of people like us I believe allows for a further analysis and understanding of why history is what it is. This would then push into the direction of how history is often written by the victors, and rarely the defeated - to understand that for every historical even there has always been two sides to the narrative I believe allows for a greater understanding of history, culture and our modern world.
