Ellie Buckley

I have been playing trumpet, and its adjacent instrument Cornet, for 14 years and have been teaching for 6 months. During this time I have found that the best way to do things is to give the student a hand in how their lessons are run, what pieces of music they do, if they want to do exams or not and such. I am incredibly patient and adaptable to the needs of the individual needs of each student I am teaching and have built good rapport with both students and parents.

I am incredibly dedicated to teaching and bringing to others the joy that music had brought to me for the last 14 years. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to learn and play a musical instrument as it is such a good way to release emotion and express oneself. I am dedicated to making sure that I deliver the best lessons I can and I am willing to change and adapt my methods to suit the needs of each individual.

I have also been a musical director for a university show and this has given me a new perspective on how I teach as some members of the cast were not as confident as others and so I honed my teaching skills during that period as well as actively within my own teaching.

Away from music I am a runner and have willingly put myself through many training regimes and have balanced that with teaching and University.
