Hello,

My name is Elli and I am a native Greek speaker from Thessaloniki.
I have studied History and Archaeology with specialisation in Archaeology and History of Art at the Department of History & Archaeology of the Philosophy School in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I also have a second BA from the same Univeristy, in Primary Education. Two years ago, I completed my MA studies in Classics at the Univeristy of Birmingham.

I have worked as a Primary School Teacher in Thessaloniki. Now I work as a Teacher of Modern Greek at a Greek School in Birmingham and I teach Nursery and Reception students, as well as GCSE students, who I prepare to sit the GCSE exams. I have also been offering private lessons in Modern Greek, Ancient Greek, Greek Literature and History since 2015.

I enjoy working both with children and adults and I can adjust my teaching methods and strategies based on my students' personal needs. At the same time, I can provide them with a friendly, family-like environment, by encouraging them and inspiring them.

I offer well-oganized material (such as vocabulary and notes for grammar), which I have made by myself. I usually combine my lessons with educational games, readings of Greek Literature and Greek movies, always based on what my students enjoy and prefer.
