My lessons are highly personalised to the student and their needs. For younger students I tend to teach drama through the use of games and fun confidence-building exercises. As students get older I introduce more text-work. We analyse sections from different plays (depending on the student's interests). I allow my students space to explore and experiment with text, directing them to help them understand what they are reading/saying and enhance their performance. I can help students prepare to deliver speeches, competition entries, exam or audition preparation.
I have taught students from the age of 4-18 years old in the UK, France, Germany and parts of Asia; teaching privately and within schools, nurseries, theatre groups and summer schemes
Qualifications/ Training: Safeguarding Children Level 2, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Early Years Good Autism Practise, Keeping Children Safe Online (NSPCC).
I have an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
A little bit about my acting career and experience...
I trained at The Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre in 2019. Upon graduating I embarked on a UK Tour, playing Boo Who in Dr Seuss’ ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’. Since then I have taken part in workshops for Mirrorball Films and Film4’s ‘Prom Fever’ and appeared as Cinderella in the Watersmeet Christmas pantomime in 2021. I was most recently seen playing Niamh in new Irish musical ‘Tír na nÓg’.
Other credits include: Maddy Carter in Timeriders: Playcraft Live (The Playhouse, Derry), Choir in With A Little Bit of Lerner (Royal Festival Hall), Jenn in By My Side (Reachfind Productions), Fionnula in Érainn (New Musical Workshop).
