Depending on my student’s level, I may use basic PowerPoint presentations or I may present students with research papers. Every session will be catered to your preferred learning style and goals.

In environmental sciences lessons can cover topics in botany, zoology, ecology, and many others. Students will be learning about the biotic world, the abiotic world, and their interactions. No living creature, flowing river, or even mountain on the planet is isolated, we all influence each other!

Lessons could include lecture-style content to set you up for independent study, or a more hands on experience with in-class exercises. When learning about the environment it can seem daunting, so your goals and learning styles will always be taken into consideration ahead of time.

I have a background in Biological and Biomedical Sciences with a specialisation in Environmental Sciences. I have studied diverse environments across Ireland and spent some time during my degree studying in South Korea. My experience encapsulates ecology, botany, zoology, and my thesis subject in paleobotany.

I hope my background and experience can bring the natural world to life from the page for you! With papers, videos, slideshows, and worksheets you will have many resources to take out of lessons. Essential reading lists can be created for your needs or even essential ‘to-watch’ lists if that’s what you want.

I’m happy to provide short lessons to fit into your schedule or longer lessons to cover topics in detail. If you’re looking to introduce a little one to environmental science I’d be delighted to guide you through some basics to support their journey. Or if you are interested in building on knowledge you already have I am eager to push you towards a deeper understanding of the content!
