Hello!

My name is Ellen. I have worked as an English language teacher in a city outside of Madrid, leading conversation classes with students one-on-one or in small groups as well as helping teachers prepare for their bilingual exams. I have also done GCSE, A level and university level Spanish, so am very familiar with exam prep.

In my lessons, we start with general conversation to warm up your English or Spanish. From there, we can focus on activities that match your learning priorities, whether that’s grammar, speaking fluency, or exam preparation. I often end each class with a quick game, such as Taboo or Guess Who. I usually prioritise speaking as that skill can often get left behind in the school environment. It is also the most challenging to practice, but most rewarding to improve at, I find!

My students have appreciated that I’m quite chatty, so you won’t have to worry about making small talk while practicing a second language.

I offer a free first lesson, and from there, we can tailor future lessons to your preferred learning style.
