After teaching and working in both SEN schools and mainstream schools, I have been tutoring for just over a year, a career I have fallen in love with! Whether online or in person I keep a pupil centred approach with each lesson tailored to the individual and their unique requirements. The lessons are varied and utilise both technology and hands on learning, with pupil engagement to guide where the lesson goes! With a 100% success rate of grades 4 and above for English literature and language GCSE in 2023, all pupils have the chance to achieve qualifications to take a step towards their goals whatever they may be! SEN need not be a barrier to GCSE success, with a tailored learning approach we can achieve results together.
Online: I use Google meet (free) as my learning platform, alongside this Canva (free) provides our virtual collaborative whiteboard.
In person: a mixture of laptop based, book based, and game based learning- sometimes all three in a session!
I am also open to collaboration and regular feedback, this allows for complete optimisation of the learning experience; it’s not one size fits all, every pupil needs to be taught in the way that works best for them.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns you’d like to discuss before booking, I like to get to know my students and their parents or carers! Additionally, if you would like a specific request, we can discuss this too.
My aim is to meet each individual need whilst ensuring exam readiness, and also to spark a love of literature, language, and learning!
