I am highly experienced working with children and young people in a variety of settings and take a friendly and student-led approach to teaching.

I currently work with children and young people with additional needs such as autism and ADHD so am open to taking into account any additional needs for the students that I tutor. I have worked with young people with a huge variety of ability levels so am very able to alter my approach to teaching to accomodate for each individual.

As a graduate Psychology student, I specialise in teaching Psychology and Study Skills. I have a breadth of knowledge and experience researching and teaching a range of study skills to students and I am confident that I can find something that works for every individual! I am open to teaching study skills to any stage of high school pupil and can alter evidence-based study methods to any subject they want to put a particular focus on.

I am also highly proficient in teaching National 5 Mathematics and English. Receiving an A band 1 in both of these subjects, I have a comprehensive knowledge base and understanding of the course requirements. I take a patient approach to teaching and specialise in breaking down content to help students understand.

My friendly and fun yet research-based approach to teaching creates a comfortable, supportive, and productive learning environment. Equipping students with study skills as well as knowledge allows them to excel in their studying both during and out-with tutoring sessions.

My son had an amazing experience with Ella as a tutor. He really struggled with how to study, but with Ella’s help I noticed a big improvement in his study skills and motivation. She mainly worked on National 5 maths with him but I noticed a huge change in his study habits and grades across all subjects with her help.
