I have tutored many Year 5's from underprivaleged backgrounds to help them prepare for the 11+ exam to get into a recognised secondary school. We covered English and Maths, and tutored 1:1 with students who struggled the most. I also tutored biology at GCSE level for 3 years at school as a volunteer, and also volunteered as a maths mentor for Year 9's.

I volunteered at many science fairs to inspire and teach young children and students about science, with hands on experiments.

I can adapt my lessons to however the student finds best and most helpful to learn, e.g. active recall, talking about everything they know as if they're teaching someone, flashcards, mindmaps, visuals. Any resources provided for the lessons are completely free and the student can keep them! I have quite a few notes for my GCSEs and A-levels, as well as many websites I can recommend to help out.

To begin with I will ask the general areas that they feel need improvments, whether that's a specific topic, or exam technique I can help out. I did certain exam boards but they all have things in common and I would self educate on the exam board the student is taking.

I try to make it fun and not boring, and not overwhelm them with information that they forget it all! Snacks also may be included..!
