I have homeschooled a number of friends children in photography prior to their exams in GCSE and A level grades. I am a BA and MA graduate myself having obtained my MA in commercial photography from AUB in 2019 with distinction.

I firstly obtain what my student needs to know and we go through how they will get there and the timeframe My first requirement is that the camera becomes a tool, so well understood that it becomes second nature to the student so all of the features are covered and set to memory. Ideally the settings will become so familiar that at the end of the course my student will set the options without thinking and concentrate on light, form, and composition. Lightroom, Photoshop will be covered, as will Premier Pro in Adobe if the student is working in Video.
Tricks and skills will be learnt through assignment work so that the fun and enjoyment of photography shine through. Photography is an art as well as a science but my hope is that together we will achieve amazing art pieces.
