My teaching style depends solely on the student, I use a lot of practice questions from different sources to plan my lessons by topic. I believe that getting students used to exam style questions early is the key to their confidence in an exam setting.
My first session usually begins with understanding the basic level of maths my students have, what important tests/exams they have coming up and what their goals are for those exams.
Depending on whether my students receive homework from teachers at school, I usually give out a few extra practice questions a week to get them working independently for optimal confidence.
