My lessons will are online, and as such are primarily based around what works for the student. Whether this be through colourful power points, doing quizzes in order to help them remember their knowledge or setting up ways for them to make it more fun in a game-like situation. Whatever is most beneficial to the student is what I believe is most beneficial overall.

In general I aim to focus initially on using interactive whiteboards in order for both me and the student to be able to communicate with one another about the information, allowing for me to watch how the student would work out the answers whilst also allowing for me to add notes as is required. Being able to interact in this way as if it was in person allows for a connection to be formed between myself and the student, and for them to feel more connected to the lesson.

I am always open to exploring new methods of communication as well. I understand that not everyone will learn in the same way. Some may require more verbal explanation, whilst others require more visual. Whatever is required I am happy to explore the avenues with students as to ensure they receive the most out of their tutoring experience. Enjoyment is not always at the top of what someone would expect from tutoring, and my goal is to combat that as much as possible and make a potentially 'boring' situation more entertaining and involving for each individual whom I work with.
