I pride myself on delivering dynamic learner focused lessons that are interesting and targeted towards the learning needs of my individual students. I enjoy using a range of scientifically proven teaching strategies to engage my students in authentic learning situations. I use varied resources including music, film, PowerPoints, art, eBooks and many more to share content with the students I work with. The content I teach includes grammar, spelling, reading, essay writing, literary analysis, poetry, debating skills and many more. I have lived and taught in countries such as China, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Uganda and Canada and I enjoy working with students of all ages. I have considerable experience teaching International Baccalaureate (IB)English Language and Literature at both the Middle Years and Diploma Program (MYP and DP) level. I have also previously taught ESL. I am comfortable tutoring O and A level English as well as preparing students for IELTS exams.
