Elizabeth Litwin

My teaching experience is predominantly in early childhood studies. I have taught preschool through second grade. I have taught in special educations school specifically as well as public schools in the US. I love teaching students of all abilities and have 5 years of teaching experience with special education. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and have experience with parent training. I am an expert with Applied Behavior Analysis and using Positive Behavior Supports. My teaching is extremely flexible and my lesson plans are purposefully crafted to be adapted based on individual needs. I am able to create lessons based on school curriculum and specific skill deficits and/or create lessons based on more general learning needs. In addition to teaching specific skills that your child may need to work on, I like to use your child's strengths as well. Using motivating activities and special interests is another way I love to support learning and increase engagement. For example, if your child needs to work on reading but is not interested in the books the school is providing, I will make it my mission to find reading materials that will motivate your child. I love to incorporate movement and sensory activities into learning as well (e.g. shape recognition with play doh, incorporating dance breaks into science, or working on handwriting using shaving cream and a paint brush).

I am able to use Powerpoint presentations, videos, traditional Microsoft word lessons, face to face Zoom sessions, interactive lesson websites and more. I will adapt to your needs!
