I have a Masters in TESOL and linguistcs from The University of Glasgow. My interest in teaching began more than 20 years ago when I taught English in many European countries including France, Germany, Spain and Luxemburg. I now live in Glasgow. In the UK, I have been fortunate to work as the Director of Studies in a private language school, an English for Academic Purposes tutor in Glasgow University, Strathclyde University and Glasgow Caledonian University. I taught ESOL at the City of Glasgow College and English for work with the British Council.
I have loved the opportunities to work with interesting, diverse people from different backgrounds and in different learning environments.
My lessons are based on individual or group needs. I focus on your needs to create engaging, challenging and enjoyable English language lessons.
In addition to grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation work, I also focus on the fours skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Expect a very communicative approach in the classroom with lively discussion and quiet time to further language practice. Topics will be relevant and meaningful to you and your learning needs. Games, music and YouTube activities could be included depending on your personal learning style.
