I have 18 years experience playing multiple instruments, in orchestras, performing solo and studying music. I teach harp and music theory. So I can quickly understand what you need to build on to become a highly competent musician. Whether you want to play one or more instruments, get additional support for a school curriculum, or simply have an interest and/or passion for music, I`m happy to help!

My philosophy is that music is another form of communication. That`s a really central theme to how I approach teaching and performing. However, you have to learn the basics of the alphabet before you can communicate well, and music is no different.

For that reason, I teach the basics of music theory before anything else ie. basic musical notes, scales, tempos, rhythms, and musical terms. I`ll also guide the student through learning some basic tunes. Then through conversation, quizzes, ad so on, I establish what my student needs to learn before proceeding to the next topic.

At this point, the student has developed a strong foundation for music. So, we can move on to more advanced pieces, scales, and so on. If there are any specific pieces, or anything in particular they want to cover I am of course open to that.
