My lessons will be engaging, with a variety of different worksheets and exercises to keep the students interested and engaged in the lesson.

I start with an introduction to the lesson and the new information that the student will learn, and then exercises so that the student gets used to and is more comfortable with the activity. To consolidate this knowledge, active recall is a tool which I like to use. I ask the students questions, and they answer with the correct answer. If their answer is wrong, that is fine! It is part of the learning process. I ask them to find the right answer, and after a few other questions, I will ask that same question again. This process will continue to loop until the right answer is said, which means that the students are able to activate their long term memory, and the information is able to stick in their heads.

I have had experience with younger children, and teaching them English, however, not as a foreign language. Having said that, I strive to help students who are learning English as a foreign language as best I am able to, so that they feel comfortable speaking, reading, writing English, not to mention listening to others speak English.

Having learnt Spanish and Mandarin for seven years in a competitive, very good school, I have lots of knowledge about what the best way of learning is for languages and I intend to put this into practice with my future students.
