My lessons are based on your current understanding of the subject: what you already know and what you have no trouble understanding. Then we can build up from there. I tend to use visual aids such as mind maps and diagrams as well as other analogies to help you grasp the concept of something in relation to other things to potentially help you see it in another perspective. Particularly for English, writing practice is necessary, so I will either do a practice essay with you or we go through a question together to see how to approach it. My lessons are usually aimed towards those starting or taking their GCSE exams (year 10 & year 11) so the focus will really be exam techniques and how to not get overwhelmed with work by taking it one step at a time.
