Just a little bit about me : I am a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a strong academic background, having graduated from Durham University and currently pursuing a master's degree at the University of Bath. I have lived in France for most of my life and was raised in the French academic system before starting my university journey in the UK. My journey has been significantly marked by the transition from being a native French speaker to achieving bilingual proficiency in English, and now being mistaken for a native English speaker. This process was fueled by my dedication to integrating and excelling in an English-speaking academic environment.

I have honed exceptional communication and problem-solving skills through diverse work experiences, including roles in technical sales, marketing, and client acquisition, reflecting my adaptability and proactive nature.

My French lessons are aimed at individuals who wish to improve their French language skills for various reasons, including academic, professional, or personal development. I bring a unique perspective to learning French, having navigated the journey of mastering English for my studies and now fully blending into an English-speaking environment. Going through this, I understand and share the struggle of acclimatising to a new language and wish to help others through this transition. This experience allows me to offer practical advice and strategies tailored to non-native speakers.

Whether beginners, professionals, or advanced learners, my approach is empathetic, patient, and informed by my own language learning experiences, making me particularly suited to assist those transitioning to French for academic or professional purposes.

I had a great experience with Elise learning French. I really liked how she broke down concepts to an elementary level as this really helped me understand the intricacy of the language (especially the tu and vous...!!), and she made me very comfortable asking questions even though she'd already addressed them earlier... I definitely recommend using Elise as a tutor as her thorough understanding of English helped her explain some concepts to me as viewed from an English perspective, which was definitely super helpful!! Merci Elise!
