As I have worked with different ages of children for over 7 years, I try and make the lesson fun and enjoyable about the children.
I have always learnt that if children get it wrong we just start again, no point stressing the children and myself out, that way I lose all engagement of the child.
I normally start off with some quick mental maths games, and then go through the curriculum every week....

I normally start off with some quick mental maths games, and then go through the curriculum every week. And at the end of each topic, I will do an assessment, just to see where there is work for improvement. I will double check to see if there is any work that the adult or child would like to cover or something they might be struggling with.
