Hi, my name is Elena and I am an Italian graduate currently studying in the UK. I graduated from the University of Pisa (Italy) with a dissertation in Latin Literature and I am currently studying at Masters level in Bologna and as an Erasmus student at Warwick University in the UK.
My passion for teaching started in 2018, when I studied in Edinburgh and was able to witness how Italian literature and Latin were taught in English-speaking countries. I am excited to share my knowledge with my students since I've been studying both Italian Linguistics and Literature and Latin grammar and Literature for a very long time. My method is based on the student's needs, skills, and areas of improvement, and it will thus be tailored on their expectations and their learning goals. The approach is conversation-based for pupils who want to improve their communication skills and text-based for those who want to work on the grammar and the technical aspects of the language. I teach Latin and Italian, since I've been studying Latin since high school and Italian is my mother tongue.
I am very motivated to become a private tutor in Latin and Italian, and I hope to communicate this motivation to my students as well.
