Greetings!
I hope this message finds you well.
I have just completed a PhD in Languages, Literatures and Cultures in Contact and I am looking for a part-time job to complement my research activity.
In my experience I have enjoyed teaching both to university students (as I did during my PhD), and to school children (as I have been doing while volunteering as a foster parent). I have also been involved in a conversation exchange group, where I have been helping adults to improve their Italian (and they helped with my English, we have been having lots of fun).
I am very patient with students, and I always try to go to the root of their difficulties, in order to give them a good foundation. That is to say that, besides the contents of the subject, I teach a studying method that could help students on a broader level. Remember, one step at a time and you can get very far...just a little bit every day. That is particularly true for languages, and I will help students to set their goals and work to achieve them. Perseverance (and having fun) is the key.
Finally: I (obviously) like learning, and I think it is positive for students to deal with someone who genuinely enjoys studying.
I thank you for your time and consideration,
Elena Barreca
