A qualified English and Drama Teacher, I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught IGCSE and GCSE English, IB English and Literature as well as the KS1- KS3 English Curriculum. I have tutored over 40 students, each with their own specific strengths and needs, creating individual learning plans creating resources accordingly. I tutor students in preparation for entrance exams as well as designing education programmes for students who need a little extra support with their school studies and exam preparation. Each lesson and scheme are catered with bespoke resources with regular reporting of learning progress continuously fed back to parents. All my students have gone on to be accepted into the school of their choice, this has included St Paul’s School, Westminster School for boys, and Dulwich College to name but a few. I love tutoring and getting to know the students I teach. Creativity, compassion and knowledge lay at the heart of all my lessons.

During the past 5 years, I have built a successful small tutoring business, which now functions mostly online. It is this experience of moving my tutoring online that has surprised me the most. Students in my lessons are encouraged to take responsibility, learning organisational skills to manage their time and work. Limiting the distractions that may occur during an in-person tutoring ensures that lesson time is solely focussed on the tasks and learning at hand. Using the technology available to enhance the teaching experience for my students has also been vital in helping to improve their skills and develop their knowledge. Taking the time to read through marked assessments with students online helps me to provide clear and qualitative targets and creative interactive resources that students love.
