Bonjour! I teach remote, live video-call lessons, using interactive software - or a simple pen and paper! My lessons, depending on the student's needs, consist of key vocab, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing and some translation practice, using under18 friendly songs, news clips, and texts to engage student's interests and make learning French an enjoyable experience!

Once again, the following is tailored to the student's level, exam specification e.g. Edexcel/AQA etc. and their requirements for each skill, whether listening is a tricky one or we need to practice conversation more!

Every lesson we will focus on a particular topic, such as the weather, French festivals, hobbies etc. There will be a vocab list that we will work on every week with the occasional vocab revision to keep your mental word bank strong! We'll learn key verbs to talk about this topic (e.g. "jouer" for "to play" football) and learn how to conjugate them using grammar tables. Throughout the lesson we will always cover speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills, but will focus on the ones that the student requires help on most. This could include watching a news video (always using under18 friendly sites, such as 1Jour1Actu) and then trying to recall what we heard, or role-play talking about where our dream holiday would be. The lesson will end with a couple of translation sentences, from English to French and vice versa, a couple of quiz questions, fun facts and a small recap of what we learned.

If there is anything specifically you'd like me to add to my lessons, please do let me know. It's you/your child's learning experience and I want to do the best I can!
Feel free to message me for more details or questions you may have:)
