Lessons will be tailored to learner needs and may focus on specific aspects of portfolio building for personal or exam certification. Lesson structure and pace can be changed to learner needs as we progress and aspects can be added or removed to ensure the time you spend on our lessons remain most of all enjoyable and not arduous or monotonous. At the end of the day, art is for creative expression and reconnecting with yourself, despite external goals.

For learners looking to build skills with no academic goal in mind, the focus would be on expanding on the media you'd like to master: eg watercolour, pencil realism, digital portraiture.

A typical outline of a lesson would include:
-identifying goals: what would we like to work on this week? What are you trying to achieve? If previous attempts were made, deconstructing how we will be improving upon them in our lesson
-sourcing reference material: looking through artists that either tutor or learner suggests and picking something to inspire our work
-parallel working: sitting with you at a distance you are comfortable with, to guide you on technique and adjustments as we go along. Suggesting tips and tricks to make your experience enjoyable. This is typically done in silence in most art studios, but if the learner finds it more appealing, I would suggest putting on some music in the background while we work and focus for the hour
