I am an experienced and qualified vocational tutor of dress making and sewing crafts both privately and for the local college. I offer learning for the complete beginner to the more experienced. Whether you want to make a dress or a handbag, I can teach you. I will teach you at your home and all you need is a sewing machine, fabric and materials for your project and lots of enthusiasm.
I have taught people who last touched a sewing machine when they were at school and now they have discovered new and enjoyable skills and have made some wonderful items that they want to wear, carry or use.
I offer one to one classes or groups up to six students. The smaller groups allows me to give each student plenty of time and attention.
Sewing classes can offer the student a few hours of creative bliss, whether on their own or with a group of like minded people.
My sewing knowledge and instruction in dress making can support a budding fashion designer who would like to pursue a career in fashion and design and would like to to learn how an item of clothing is constructed, what material is best suited to particular designs and even how to make your own designs by making your own patters.
