Hi, my name is Ekaterina and I am here to help you ace your maths exams! I am patient, a good listener, and want to inspire confidence.

Inspired by the thoroughness and enthusiasm of my maths teachers at Shrewsbury, I want to use my fresh experience with the course to help others not only ace their exams, but prove to themselves that tricky methods and questions that seem impossible at first glance can become a walk in the park come the exam.

I did the Edexcel Maths and Further Maths courses, and can cater to all specifications.

The most important thing to me is creating a patient environment where every ‘But why?’
is welcomed, and every 'Oh, I finally understand!' is celebrated. Every lesson is tailored to every student's needs and whether their goal is to know just enough to achieve a certain grade or to gain a deep understanding of the reasons behind each method, but here is what the general structure would be like:

In our first lesson, unless the student has any specific topics they know they want to tackle, we will complete a paper to identify any main areas of weakness, before agreeing on a list of topics to focus on.

In the following lessons, we will do a starter question on the previous lesson's topic. Then, I will explain the next chosen topic in detail, including how to systematically tackle all variations of questions that have come up previously.

I will then encourage the student to interact with me as we work through more example questions in ascending order of difficulty. In doing this, I can see what the student's thought process is and help improve their efficiency. To aid independent practice, I will send over a pack of all available past paper questions and step-by-step notes for the topic which I will have collated.

We will conclude the lesson by recapping what we've completed and assessing the student's level of understanding
