My methods of teaching range from student to student. Some students would like more focus on theory and how to solve problems and others want more exam practice and how to perfect their craft. As long as the student is willing to work, I will be there to help. One example of a group i have tutored is a group of GCSE Physics students. They personally asked to complete exam papers during our sessions, so each time we met i went through in depth into the exam papers letting them decode the questions and having a go themselves with the options to ask questions and work with me by their side. This helped the students especially with recognising what the exam boards want from you as we looked through pages of mark schemes giving them a boost going into the summer exams. Content wise, the lessons all depend with where the student sits. Do they understand the basics of the topic they’re struggling with? If not I start from the basics building up the foundations for the next big mathematician. Do you understand the topic but don’t know why you keep getting the questions wrong? I can help with that as I was in the same situation when I was in your shoes. Those simple mistakes will be ironed out in no time. In terms of lessons it will be a lot of the student asking questions about the topic, making sure you know what you need to know and using that knowledge to solve the problems. But I can always adapt to your liking and help you in whatever way you wish.
