As a tutor with a background in academic copy editing, my lessons are designed to help students of all ages improve their writing skills, language proficiency, critical thinking abilities, and methods of historical iquiry. Here's an overview of what you can expect from my tutoring sessions:

Lesson format:
My lessons are typically one-on-one sessions where we'll work together to identify areas where you need help and create a plan to improve. Since every student is different, I will personalise my approach to your learning style, goals, and needs. I'll use a combination of verbal and written communication to explain concepts, provide feedback, and ask questions. I can also offer a multidisciplinary approach if so desired, bringing in ideas and information from different subject areas to deepen understanding.

Lesson content and dynamics:
I'll start by assessing your strengths and weaknesses, reviewing your previous work and feedback from your teachers, and discussing your goals. Based on this information, I'll tailor my lessons to help you improve your skills in areas such as grammar, syntax, vocabulary, argumentation, academic writing, research, etc.

I'll also work with you to develop effective study habits and time-management strategies that will help you make the most of your learning. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and collaborative, and I encourage my students to ask questions, share their ideas and feedback, and take an active role in their learning process.

My experience:
As an academic copy editor, I have a strong background in a range of subjects in the humanities, from language arts to the social sciences. My clients have included both native and non-native English speakers, with varying degrees of proficiency. Due to this experience, I am happy to take on ESL (English second language) students.

In addition to my editing and tutoring experience, I have a degree in Liberal Arts from The New School for Public Engagement. In this self-designed program, I took courses in writing, linguistics, literature, history, art, and political science.

Overall, my tutoring sessions are designed to be flexible, engaging, and effective, helping you improve your writing and research skills, language proficiency, and critical thinking abilities. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your academic goals.
