Hi! My name is Eden, I am 18 and would love to tutor you :)
- I have tutored my SEN sister in English for 2-3 years
- I am currently studying 3 subjects that require the ability to analyze and criticize writing, theories, and art, meaning teaching and studying essay based subjects is my strong point.
- I am flexible in my teaching methods and think it important to structure lessons in a way that is suitable for the way students learn because everyone learns and absorbs information in different ways.
- I achieved 2 A's in English Literature and English Language GCSE
- I will teach students using shared whiteboards, mind maps and past papers
- On shared whiteboards we can do things like highlight and analyze quotes, I can teach the student how to break down questions to make them easier to understand and to teach them different essay structures and anagrams to help them in exams.
- We can go through past papers together looking at how they can manage their time in exams and practice writing short answers together in timed conditions.
- All work we do in that lesson will be sent to me and I can go through the work and look at where improvements and praise are due so that the next lesson we can see where we can develop skills further to improve the amount of marks they could achieve.
- I will share my own past notes from when I studied English so that the student has a chance to look at some model answers and mark my pat papers together so they can see what they need or where I have missed out on things so that they can use my work to reflect on their own work and skills.
- We will look into the deeper meanings of Assessment Objectives (AO's) so that in exams students can tick these boxes to the best of their ability.
- I can also create a good student/tutor bond as I can relate to the struggles of teens today and have sat a similar level of exams when I took my GCSE's since I only took the 2 years ago...
