Hello, Welcome!
My name is Edel, and I am an Art Tutor. I have a Postgraduate Diploma and I have 5 + years of teaching experience with a DBS on the updated service (let me know if you want to see my DBS certificate/ reference number) so you know you or your child is in safe hands.

I teach children from 6 years to adults.
The areas of Art I teach are:
-Drawings: Pencil, pencil colours, pastels and oil pastels
-Paintings: Watercolours and acrylics
-Digital Illustrations: using Procreate
-Adobe Suite: Photoshop and Illustration – Beginners and Intermediate levels

As an online Art Tutor, I adopt to various teaching styles, for example demonstrating techniques, providing guidance, emphasising individual creative expression and exploration, while providing resources and feedback.
Each style caters to different learning preferences and goals, allowing me to adapt my methods to enhance the artistic development of my students effectively. I also make my lessons engaging and accessible to all abilities, ensuring that art can be appreciated and expressed by everyone.

As an Art Tutor, I fully appreciate that everyone has a different learning style and pace.
Art is a tool that effectively helps children to communicate creatively and express themselves which helps improve their communication, motor skills, problem-solving, engagement time and social skills. With Adults, Art is an excellent tool for relaxation, personal growth, mindfulness and creativity.
Art making is FUN, it's about expression, exploring and creating!
