Through my own art studies at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands, I gained an in-depth knowledge of contemporary art and how it is taught. This know-how is both relevant and current and spans across multiple mediums of both making and curating art, so as a prospective student you can rest assured that we will be able to work together to better your skills of creation, presentation and theory relating to your artistic work. This could be for your GCSE Art study or perhaps your Bachelor's degree, or even if you just want to become a more fluent artist in your own time.
I am available for both in-person and online teaching, and we can arrange a schedule that suits the student best. The focus of the programme can be driven by the specific needs of the student, and we can collaborate in designing lessons around what the student really needs. As a teacher I will always try my best to make my lessons engaging, relevant, interesting and cooperative. My methodology is not to sit and lecture but to learn as much about my students' artistic journey as is possible, and then target areas that we feel may need some development. It is my hope that between student and teacher we will grow a dynamic that enables the student to feel confident and free in their creative works.
