I will try and create an engaging and fun environment to help you better understand and not get bored while learning. Making jokes will help with that. I intend to workout problems step by step only moving on once you properly understand the maths. I will also try to make even the more difficult problems seem simple by breaking it down, using visual representations and explaining it in the simplest way possible.
I have taught for one year in person both one to one and for groups. I can teach both in person and online. I usually use a shared whiteboard/ shared screen to tutor online.
Each session is unique to best suit my students needs. Most prefer to work through the problems directly with me on the shared whiteboard. However, others prefer to work through each problem on paper, explaining their reasoning as they go, while I provide prompts, to develop their critical thinking, and step by step solutions.
I try to explain things in multiple ways so my students can develop a strong understanding for the mathematical concepts. I use methods not necessarily taught in school which massively simplify problems and still receive full marks. One of the most impactful ways to get students to quickly grasp ideas is by providing a visual representation/ working to trigger their memory during an exam.
