I would first like to get in touch with potential students over what topics they want tutored, where they struggle in that subject and what their strengths are. This will let me tailor my lessons to the students needs.

I will go through topics as they have been chronologically given to students unless they prefer to start on another topic, at which point they can ask me and I can do so. To begin lessons, I will start with a short 10 question quiz just to assess what students vaguely remember from topics, and then make a note of what they got correct/incorrect to address in the topic. In science, especially at A level and GCSE level, a lot of the time our wording in how we write answers is what determines if we get a mark, so I will make sure to highlight which words are important to include, and if necessary which words must be excluded, in each topic.

In topics like maths, I feel practice makes perfect, and so I will find a good mix of questions ranging from easier to more complicated in each topic, and go through one of the more tricky questions prior to allowing time to complete these.
