I am a final year global commerce student with exemplary academic results and significant personal experience in helping friends and fellow students in their studies and exams.
I will primarily teach Irish Leaving and Junior cycle material, but remain open to any enquiries about GCSE and A-level teaching.
My lessons would roughly adhere to the following outline:
- An informal introduction lesson (free of charge) to get to know the student and what the expectations are for their course and exams.
- Initial lessons primarily focused on learning each topic and asking the student shorter questions to gauge their understanding of material.
- After the student has an reasonable understanding of the topics I would move onto focusing specifically on exam questions, so that the student can get used to and practice answering certain types of questions.
- As the mock and exam period close in I would practice full exam papers (or sections on them depending on how time allows) with the student and mark them to understand how the student is doing and plan on how they can best maximise their potential.
This is a rough outline, and will vary by student depending on their needs. If a student understands certain topics well I won't waste time on going over areas needlessly, likewise I will devote more time to areas where students are struggling.
Ultimately the lesson plan will depend on a student's individual needs and I will adjust it as necessary so they can learn in whichever manner is best suited to them.
I am happy to run over the time set for sessions or answer questions outside of session time if needs be.
