I am enthusiastic about learning chemistry and also found it exhilarating to share my knowledge to whomever approaches me with a curiosity to learn. I am currently working in a central government organization on a DST sponsored project which revives the student in me every day. I would see teaching as a two-way learning experience where not only the student but also the teacher gets to learn from students. I have the experience of taking seminars as a part of my academics for a period of 5 years (BSc. and MSc.), which give me the realization that I can also become a teacher who can inspire her students. My teaching method would be simple and easy to comprehend, and I could assure that you will love chemistry if you walk hand in hand with me. I would be using PowerPoint presentations and online simulations to make the concepts easier to understand. I am more interested in teaching inorganic and physical chemistry along with some special topics like nanomaterial chemistry, analytical chemistry and some selected topics in organic chemistry like naming, hydrocarbons and reaction mechanisms. Classes will be in a normal pace and students can ask their doubts in between the lectures or after that. Special attention would be given to students who finds the subject little dry or difficult by giving them extra classes or worksheets. Every lecture would be followed by assignments or worksheets. Don't worry it won't be too much just few objectives or one-word questions; just to check your understanding level and to implement some modification in my teaching, accordingly. I would also like to make the sessions very interactive so that my students feel energized throughout.
