Inspirational, energetic and enthusiastic, I tailor my lessons to each pupil's needs and capabilities. My experience spans over 35 years in practical and theoretical music subjects, and instilling a love of music in all my students has been the focus of my life's work.

Listening and commenting on each pupil's efforts, providing exercises and repertoire suggestions to develop their skills, is at the core of my musical provision. My technical input is easy to follow and implement. I understand the performance anxieties that pupils experience, am happy to explain and am a patient teacher with a good sense of humour.

My online teaching experience is extensive and I have perfect pitch which makes it very easy for me to hear everything you are playing in detail and provide constructive feedback, so that your progress can be steady and satisfying. Even after years of teaching theory I still find it fun to explain, and my analytical skills and harmonic knowledge will give you detailed d insights into your work.

A lifetime of piano performance (and 8 expert piano teachers who prepared me up to the hilt for this performing career) has given me a range of vital solutions which I can offer to each student, no matter how diverse.
