Hello and welcome!

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to support your musical journey in a variety of areas, including music theory, composition, music notation software, general music lessons, and piano. Whether you’re looking to dive into the intricacies of music theory, explore the creative process of composition, master Sibelius notation software, or develop your piano skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My goal is to make learning music engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to your unique interests and goals.

I live in the Oxford area and am deeply immersed in the local music scene, which keeps me connected to the latest trends and opportunities in music education. Outside of teaching, I have a passion for science fiction, playing chess, and exploring philosophy and politics. I also love dancing, though I’m more enthusiastic than skilled in that area, and I cherish the time I spend walking my dog, Peque.

What I love most about tutoring is the chance to connect with students and witness their growth and excitement as they develop their musical talents. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where each student feels valued and inspired. My approach is to tailor my teaching to fit each student's individual needs, helping them to build confidence and achieve their musical aspirations.

My philosophy is centered around fostering a love for music and encouraging creativity. I strive to make lessons not just educational but also enjoyable, ensuring that students find joy in their musical exploration. Whether you're a beginner just starting out or an advanced learner seeking to refine your skills, my aim is to make your learning experience as fulfilling and rewarding as possible.

Thank you for considering me as your tutor. I’m looking forward to helping you achieve your musical goals and share in the joy of making music together!
