I have been teaching for the last two decades now. While doing so I'm learning new things every single day from my students. Teaching is a profession where you grow with your students and become more knowledgeable every time you teach and interact with your students. A teacher who establishes rapport with students learns more from them than she/he teaches them. A true teacher regards herself/himself as her/his student's student. Learning something new every time from your students is one of the biggest achievements for any teacher. I make learning fun with real life examples and students open up about their doubts an clarify it then and there only in the class. So my class is always interactive and discussion unlike traditional one way teaching. And, work from opportunity gives you more time for your creativity and make classes more interesting.
I feel, getting smiles on the faces of students and in turn, their parents is another biggest achievement in a teacher's life. Making students happy and connected with the teacher brings a smile to the teacher's face as well. When students are happy then they feel happy from within and gives them the best satisfaction that any other thing can give you in your life. I think every teacher might have experienced this and will agree with me on this note. When you are with students, they make you forget your worries and create a healthy environment surrounding you. So, happiness and joy just being with students is also an achievement for me.
