Hi, I'm Doshan and I'm currently an A-Level student.
I've achieved 9 in Science and 8 in Maths for GCSE. I have achieved AAA in Maths, Chemistry and Physics A-Level.
I've tutored relatives for 2 years. Personally, I often struggled with learning from a textbook alone. I found that I understood better when I saw visual representations of concepts I was trying to learn. From this experience, I focused on how my students preferred to learn, this made studying a fun thing for them to do rather than a chore. For example, one student couldn't fully understand Newton's Third Law in Physics, but I found that using a combination of drawings and words helped him fully understand it. I then catered to his abilities and learning preferences. I'm highly confident in teaching from SATs and 11+ up to GCSE Maths and Science.
For Maths, I let students attempt the questions and give subtle hints if they struggle. We focus on understanding each topic and practice the knowledge through various exam questions.
For Science, it is mostly the same but more theory and essay-based.
I know what it is like to struggle, so I ensure that the student feels safe and free to answer any questions without fear of being judged.
