I primarily teach:
1?Chinese for children, utilizing textbooks such as YCT and "Happy Chinese Learning," and incorporating content from domestic language materials into my lessons. On one hand, I systematically teach children Chinese, and on the other hand, I enrich the curriculum with additional learning content.
2?Chinese for adults, focusing on the HSK series of textbooks. For beginners, I prioritize teaching Pinyin and pronunciation, and once they have a solid foundation, I guide students through systematic study.
In my classes, I will conduct extensive practice with sentences related to daily life or work-related business Chinese. Additionally, I will encourage my students to speak Chinese extensively.
1?For children, they essentially learn through play or challenges, so it is very necessary to design the learning content to be fun. In each class, I will design some engaging learning activities such as "Guess," "Connect the Dots," "Describe the Picture," and "Choose the Correct Answer." In the latter half of the class, I will read storybooks with the children, such as "The Kitten Goes Fishing," "The Crow Drinks Water," and "The Tortoise and the Hare." These stories are very popular with the kids. For children with a better command of Chinese, I also lead them to read classic stories from China that have been passed down for thousands of years, like "Journey to the West" (Sun Wukong).
For adults, I will design the study content according to the students' own needs. For example, if a student wants to learn business Chinese or pronunciation and Pinyin, I will tailor the teaching materials to each individual student's needs.
