Dominique Mckay

I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher working in Scotland. I have been teaching for 7 years, mainly as a Class Teacher within Mainstream schooling. Currently I am working as a Support for Learning Teacher, where I support the children across my school who may have any additional learning needs. I have experience in covering all areas of the curriculum, and can tailor my lessons depending on where support is required most.

Lessons will follow the basic structure of a warm up, main input, task and plenary at the end. Initially a base line assessment would be administered to find the level of the child, before planning for follow up lessons. Learning intentions and success criteria will be made clear at the beginning of each lesson, and children will have an input on what these should look like. I aim to provide child centred planning and will work hard to ensure your child is engaged throughout the lesson.

Lessons can be offered online at a time suitable to you and your family, and if within a reasonable distance, can be offered in the comfort of your family home.
