I am in my third year of undergraduate study at the University of Cambridge studying Geography. I am a friendly, open person delivering lessons on a range of topics within geography covering both the physical and human spheres, and how they interact.
I am able to give feedback and advice on essay writing, personal statement creation, applications for geography at university, and how to succeed with geography at GCSE level.
I have 4 A*s at A-level, in Geography, Maths, Physics, and Music.
I have strong experience in tutoring both in the field of geography and also for music and maths. My excellent set of GCSE and A level results allow me to teach in a range of ways that cater to a specific student’s needs. For example, many students find online learning distracting hence it is easier to teach in a visual way with mind maps, flow charts and note-taking to ensure they stay engaged in the lesson.
On the other hand, for those who prefer the traditional notes and essay style, I am equally suited to set questions, mark essays, teach efficient forms of note-taking and provide expert knowledge on answering exam questions.
Furthermore, as a Cambridge student, I have advanced knowledge of the recruitment process and what it takes to secure an interview and/or offer. Therefore, I am also able to offer my services in editing and advising personal statements and preparing students for Oxbridge interviews.
Overall, I am committed to making our lessons about you, the student, and will adapt lessons sufficiently to ensure you are getting the most out of them, in whichever learning environment you see fit.
