Communication through writing has been a skillset that I developed at a very young age. I have four years of experience as a freelance tutor. I taught a range of subjects to elementary, middle, and high school students, but English was always my favorite. I am an interactive and encouraging teacher who can tailor my approach based on what the student may need. I have a background in psychology which helps me to consider a variety of reasons why a student may need support. I believe communication is an extremely important skill in life, so I make it a point to explain things in a way that the student will understand. I open up many opportunities for students to express if they are experiencing any confusion, as I notice students often feel reluctant to admit when they do not understand certain things. Some unique approaches I have taken with students include creating games and interactive quizzes, curating lists of guidelines, writing or reimagining stories, creating songs and poems, and using analogies that are relevant to the student.

My students were primarily ages 10-17, but I am open to students of all ages. I have plenty of experience writing college level essays.
