My Experience:

I have prior and ongoing experience in professional tutoring both working with companies and privately, and have recently graduated Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glasgow, and currently pursuing a Masters in Applied Computational Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. I offer a solid understanding of STEM and Sciences from my Engineering background, and Arts & Languages from qualifications I have fulfilled. I also have my own student experience to resonate with and understand students' dilemmas!

I have applied, received interviews and invitations, and passed entrance exams of top Universities including Oxbridge and Imperial College London, and hence offer admissions advice involving Personal Statement preparation.

Tutoring Style:

A typical lesson in STEM subjects will include working through examples and exam questions with their techniques, and when it's requested or necessary, we will make sure to visit the theoretical side of topics to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subject. I tend to also leave exercises for students to attempt outside of our lessons to encourage solving problems independently, this is incredibly beneficial for as trying to solve just a few questions alone will let you pinpoint the exact difficulties you're experiencing immediately, which in turn allows us to overcome problems that much quicker. Once we're on a streak of solving problems correctly, we can be confident that your knowledge has become flexible and you not only know but understand what the subject is about. This is our goal, and we will be working together to build consistency and confidence.

In Arts & Languages we will constantly be in productive discussion, and I encourage students to be immersed in their learnt languages. We will study reference texts and audios to develop important skills involving their comprehension, inference, interpretation, reasoning and extended application and understanding. We will also practice fluency and competency in writing and speaking.

I have tutored across a wide demographic of students in the past, so I'm more than happy to hear what you believe helps you and plan our lessons accordingly. As a tutor my role is to provide guidance and the resources you need to create a productive learning environment that works to nurture and improve, rather than tire you out and stick to rigid styles.
