I like to begin lessons by finding out what areas of biology students want to focus on and if there are any particular areas of interest they would like to learn more about.

This allows me to develop a curriculum tailored to each individual student which is important as not everybody learns the same way.

From here we will build a strong base of the fundamental topics which pop up again and again in order to make their future learning so much easier. Having a solid base makes learning the complex stuff so much easier, believe me!

If students are just starting out on their learning journey, we will begin by introducing them to the fundamentals of biology in fun and exciting lessons designed to spark students love of science. I believe in making learning as fun as possible as in my experience, students learn better when there's less pressure to learn off by heart and more emphasis is placed on discovering topics that truly interest them.
